The Paradox Tote is all about juxtaposition, about celebrating life’s wonderful little paradoxes. Rustic yet refined, understated but outspoken, unique yet familiar, daring but grounded. The strange paradox that life’s clearest, most comforting lessons are learned at its lowest points. That the greatest joys in life lead to its greatest sorrows. For every sunrise, a sunset. For every birth, a death. For every love, a loss. These are the lessons that echoed in my mind as I designed this bag.
The Paradox Tote pictured is made from a unique shrunken bison nubuck suede that feels like heavy velvet, with rich texture and eye-catching ripples and wrinkles throughout. Aside from its unique appearance and darling hand-feel, the shrunken bison nubuck is also resistant to everyday wear. The buffed grain side rejects scratches and scuffs, while the soft flesh interior soothes anything that touches it.
The secondary material is a black Italian harness leather that is some of the finest I’ve ever laid my hands on.
Details like solid copper rivets and hand-stitched turned edges ensure that this bag will endure, even if the moment doesn’t.
